Apollo's FGF R4 - Fc Chimerahcx contains 15-30% carbohydrate by weight, has N-linked oligosaccharides, shown by a drop in observed MW on SDS-PAGE after treatement with PNGase F, and may have O-linked oligosaccharides.
Densitometry of protein isoforms visualized by 2-DE. Spot trains are normal in human proteins and highlight the presence of multiple isoforms which differ according to their level of post-translational modification. The triangle indicates the theoretical MW and pI of the protein.
Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) belong to a large family (23 human members) of mitogenic factors that signal by binding to the FGF receptors (FGFRs) along with heparin and heparin-like glycosaminoglycans (HLGAGs). FGFs have major roles in hematopoiesis, development, wound repair, angiogenesis and tumor growth. There are multiple receptor splice variants that produce a number of isoforms of the four FGFRs.
